On the 10th of February 2026, the Climate Change Awareness Team of Lesotho Meteorological Services hosted Grade 1 and 2 students from the American International School of Lesotho for an interactive climate education session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this training was to provide learners with an enriching educational experience that connects classroom knowledge to real-world applications. Children were introduced to the science of climate change, the importance of caring for the environment, and practical ways to protect our planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This session gave learners the unique opportunity to engage directly with climate change experts and to see how climate work is carried out in real life. They were also taught about weather forecasting and presentation, allowing them to experience how daily weather updates are prepared and communicated to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By inspiring environmental awareness and responsibility at an early age, this initiative supports their studies and nurtures a generation of informed citizens ready to safeguard Lesotho\u2019s future.
