On the 21st March 2025, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, together with the Prime Minister, led a remarkable celebration at Ha Moruthane, Matsieng to combat climate change and promote a greener future for Lesotho. 🌱✨
Tree planting activity at Ha Moruthane
This impactful initiative wasn’t limited to one location—it spread across the entire country, where a total of 100,000 trees were planted! Trees play a crucial role in addressing climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, improving air quality, and preventing soil erosion. They are vital allies in restoring ecosystems and building resilience against the effects of climate change.
This event is a reminder that combating climate change requires collective action. The government has taken a significant step forward, and now it’s up to each of us to contribute to protecting our environment. Whether it’s planting a tree, conserving resources, or spreading awareness, every effort counts in building a greener Lesotho. 🌿
Let’s keep the momentum alive and work together for a sustainable future! 💚
